Our Team.
We present to you a boutique professional team with more than 50 years of combined experience. Our dentists, Dr Tony Dey and Dr Frazier Johnston, have 30 years of combined experience, accompanied by our hygienists, dental therapists, dental assistants and support staff, all of whom undergo ongoing continuing professional development. This means you’ll be treated by a clinician who’s highly experienced and able to offer you professional, unbiased advice.

Tony is a Dunedin boy and Otago graduate. After working in hospital’s and a period as a teaching fellow back at Otago Tony built a large successful practice on Ponsonby Road. This practice was eventually acquired by the corporate dental group Lumino becoming one of their largest most successful practices. After practicing in his large bustling Ponsonby clinic for over 10 years Dr Dey is now excited to work in a more boutique setting where he can concentrate on delivering the care he has become renowned for.

Frazier gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2011. He is a certified ‘Senior Master Provider’ with the Fastbraces orthodontic system (braces and straight teeth in months not years); as well as providing Invisalign treatment (‘Invisible’ braces) for his patients. He can also replace your missing teeth with implants, bridges or plates if required.

Megan is another Otago graduate who has recently joined the Dental Today team. She has been working for a number of years in Auckland and is also a busy mother of 2 small children.

Kyle was trained at Westmead Dental Hospital in Sydney and is living in NZ with his partner who is working at Auckland City Hospital. He has over 10 years of dental experience and has broad treatment scope. His interests outside of work include surfing, rock climbing, running and projects in woodwork and leather. 'Being outside, active and working with my hands is a day well spent, and a bit of travel or an escape from the city is always a plus!

Farah is our front destination super star and admin assassin. She has worked in dental practices in Christchurch and Auckland.
Having gained a degree in dentistry in India she is also studying towards her qualifications in New Zealand.
Outside of work Farah does henna tattooing and desserts.

Our newest Oral Health Therapist Nikita is with us Monday's and Tuesday's looking after our oral health with hygienist appointments. She is also our tooth whitening expert.

Merrily is a highly experienced dental surgery assistant. Having worked across several practices she keeps us all on our toes.
She has played highly competitive hockey for many years and is a regular at the Masters hockey club.

Lily Wei is one of our Oral Health Therapists. She is an AUT graduate with a Bachelor of Science Major in oral health. She has dual qualification to practice as Oral Health Therapist and Dental Hygienist.
Lily is a mother of two and is passionate about her chosen career. Always with a smile on her face, Lily is friendly and gentle. We know you will like her and will be in excellent hands when you come for your hygienist appointment.
